Yu Ching Plastics, now approaching its 46th year in the plastics manufacturing industry, has quietly cultivated its growth over the past 45 years, evolving from OEM to ODM with the aspiration of becoming a leading company in blow molding manufacturing. In recent years, we have paid close attention to green issues, aiming to contribute to the well-being of Taiwan.
Every breakthrough in our production process has accumulated valuable experience. Besides contract manufacturing, we also act as product consultants for many enterprises, helping clients overcome challenges in production processes and product development, ensuring successful scaling and manufacturing.
Yu Ching Plastics, in collaboration with the Plastics Industry Development Center, has pioneered the application of recycled ocean waste fishing nets in blow molding—a rare endeavor in the industry.
Ocean waste materials differ from standard PE due to their poor physical properties, necessitating adjustments in material composition and production parameters to maintain quality and enhance stability.
To align with global standards and serve more domestic and international clients, Yu Ching has been committed in recent years to developing products using recycled materials, focusing on ocean waste issues and carbon reduction trends.
While blow-molded products are diverse, they predominantly include toolboxes used for hand tools.
Conventional appearances limit the potential uses of toolboxes.
In recent years, we have moved beyond traditional thinking, applying innovations to other products (e.g., liquor cases, car repair creepers, camping gas stove cases, wedding photo album boxes, playroom barriers, etc.).
Through circular design methods, we have developed innovative, high-value green products.
From procurement to production, recycled materials such as rPE (for boxes) and rPP (for clasps) are used, encompassing recycling and disposal processes.
The cycle starts from shipment → consumption → recycling → regeneration/reuse → and ends with optimal recycling treatment.
Moreover, in the production process, all trimmed material scraps are entirely recycled and reused, ensuring zero waste throughout.
In developing green innovation demonstration products, we connected with mold manufacturers, recycled material suppliers, and accessory manufacturers, guided by support agencies in circular design, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and obtaining recycled material traceability certification to promote these products domestically and internationally to meet enterprise needs.
Our responsible corporate actions for carbon reduction in production and product sales include three concrete measures:
1. Circular design methods,
2. Recycled material traceability certification,
3. Energy conservation and carbon reduction to strengthen corporate resilience.
The use of ocean waste is an especially noteworthy product and represents Yu Ching's current flagship product. It fosters resource recycling and symbolizes the circular economy. Now that production is on track, we will actively promote it.
Understanding that low-carbon and energy-saving trends are future-oriented and equate to competitive business advantages, Yu Ching conducted the ISO-14064 Greenhouse Gas Inventory and ISO-14067 Carbon Footprint in 2023 to assess carbon emissions for future reduction plans and has also obtained PCR certification.
Our blow-molded products have broad applications. We aim to leverage our influence to encourage more product brands to join the carbon reduction movement.
